Round-up of New Reviews
“For Dylan or Cohen fans, this music would be right up their alley. The songs on this album are simple yet unique, avoiding heavy instrumentation for more intimacy with the listener. Carping’s voice is passionate, ultimately standing alone among others.”
- Frogs on a Log
The great Frogs on a Log music blog recently published a very in-depth and insightful review. You can read the full review on Frogs on a Log
The beautiful 33rpmPVC has recently published a very nice review on their site:
“Was für eine Stimme! Was für begnadete Songs! Jonas Carping ist ein unabhängiger Singer/Songwriter aus Stockholm. Als Referenzen weist er auf seiner Website Bob Dylan und Leonard Cohen aus, aber die Musik die ich höre, benötigt eigentlich keine Referenzen, sondern spricht für sich selbst…”
- 33rpmPVC (Germany)
As for Sweden; here’s two great Swedish mentions - “Suverän lågmäld pop..” at Centrifug and on BoggBlogg.
And to round it up, a nice mention on the great Berlin based Nordic By Nature - read the post on Nordic By Nature

2013 - The Glade - All The Time In The World
The process of a new The Glade (TheGladeOnline.com) album is now in motion. The first studio session was held last week and 3 live recordings was the result. The band has been working hard in the rehearsal studio and it showed during recordings. After a bit of a slow start The Glade got going and the energy was high, very high. Looking forward to see where this is going. More updates will follow.

As for All The Time In The World, the album is moving and finding new listeners day by day, which is great. This is much due to great music blogs and great music writers chosing to write about the album and the songs. But also due to great listeners who choose to tell their friends about the music and help spreading the word in other ways also. For all of this, I am truly grateful.

If you haven’t yet picked up a copy of the CD you can do so over at bandcamp or at CD Baby. You can also email info@jonascarping.com for a signed copy.
Peace

Louder Than War
Louder Than War “New Artist of the Day”
“The album itself is similarly strong. Each song is a real treasure and demands repeated listens thanks to the intricacy and complexity of each song. It’s not your standard folk-acoustic here.”
